Key points of the Landlord-Tenant case

1. Tenant from the past 20 years2. Only at the time of initiation rental agreement was prepared. Ie. In the year 1999. Henceforth which no deed was redrafted or addendum prepared.3. In 2002 one more area gave for rent but no deed prepared4. Everything went as per mutual understanding.5. Rent was received in cash and no receipts were issued in return.6. Electricity was borne by the landlord which was further collected by the tenant.7. For 2 years electricity is due.8. Since Feb ’20 rent non-receipt9. Electricity was cut in Feb’20 henceforth which police case was filed by tenant and electricity was turned on immediately.10. Then corona came complete lockdown11. Since Feb 20 no rent was paid(Rent was ₹19500 but no rent paid)12. Oct 20 end electricity was cut13. Tenant filed a case against the landlord - attempt to torture14. Tenant claiming he paid all rent to police15. Tenant claiming rent was only ₹10500 and it is after paying all rent until September16. The tenant filed a legal notice saying he has paid all rent and giving warning that if any more claims asked to attempt to torture case will be filed What should the landlord do now
