Can a fresh Law graduate become “advocate on record” in supreme court of India?

No, a fresh law graduate cannot become an “Advocate on Record” (AOR) in the Supreme Court of India. To become an AOR, one needs to have at least three years of experience as a practicing advocate in any High Court or in more than two lower courts in India, as well as pass a qualifying exam conducted by the Supreme Court of India. Therefore, it is necessary for a law graduate to first gain experience as a practising advocate before being eligible to apply for the AOR designation in the Supreme Court of India.
