Landlord issue

Landlord issue: I was looking for an apartment in Vandalur and found one. The landlord insisted that I pay the deposit even before the rental agreement was signed. So I paid 3 months in advance. Due to a dispute with the landlord, we decided not to proceed with the move and now the landlord is refusing to return the Rental deposit and does not respond to my queries and calls.
