File a case against Chennai Metro Water and Sewerage Board

firstly, I would like to file a case against Chennai Metro Water and Sewerage Board. Currently, I live in Ambattur which was earlier a Municipality. Subsequent to the merger of Ambattur Municipality with the GCC, we have started getting Water and Sewerage Tax Bills from CMWSSB. In fact, The highlight of the issue is we do not have a connection for Drinking Water or Sewerage to our premises. This means the CMWSSB is trying to collect Tax on a non-existing service and send periodical notices claiming Tax on Water and Sewerage. Moreover, It is like not selling a product but collecting only GST from a consumer for a product that never existed and was sold !.

Provision to waive taxes on Water or Sewerage

As per CMWSB Act, there is a provision to waive taxes on Water or Sewerage. Meanwhile, They can do this if the consumer does not benefit at all from the services of CMWSSB. I would like to file a case against CMWSSB. By all means, It is to direct it to stop claiming Taxes till such time actual Water and Sewerage connections are provided to the consumer.
